Take Along Thomas Tidmouth Roundhouse
The Take Along Thomas “Tidmouth Roundhouse” is one of Nolyn’s favorite toys. I never thought we would buy this, because all of his Thomas toys were either Trackmaster or wooden tracks. If you haven’t seen the “take along” series by Learning Curve, basically it’s a bunch of mini-thomas trains and track. Most of the sets are designed to have a scenario in a foldable box (where the trains go inside). It’s great for the car, taking on overnights and playdates – it’s a great portable way to play with Thomas trains. The thing is, you’re buying “yet another” version of Thomas trains.
The reason we ended up getting this set, was because Nolyn has been wanting “Tidmouth Sheds” for a very long time – and we keep putting it off, since it’s some $200. If you buy the take along version of Tidmouth (the Roundhouse), you can get it usually around $30 or less! Plus – you get a thomas you can take with you on trips!

This toy was for my 2 1/2 year old grandson. He is a Thomas the train fan and this take along toy is perfect for travel. It all comes apart and fits in the roundhouse carrying case so when he comes to visit, he brings it with him. It is well built and so far has survived this very active little boy.

The track was easy to put together and there’s enough track that my son can change it around if he wishes. All around, satisfied with this product.

We bought this for our 4 year old son for Christmas. We have Geo-Trax at home, which he loves, but they take up a lot of space and don’t travel well. We bought this to take with us when we visit family, friends and for long waits at the doctor’s office. He loves it and we have the round house filled with other trains now. My only wish is that the roundhouse could store all of the track, but I figured that it wouldn’t when we purchased it, since it seemed to have extra in that package. We just keep it in a gallon ziplock bag to keep it all together. Great purchase for us!
